Salt and Pepper

ab.jpg

Salt and Pepper is part of a thriving community of WordPress food bloggers, many from India. Giniann, who writes this blog, offers clear descriptions of delicious meals. She’s been blogging for a long time and her site has a wealth of recipes. She’s also a really fine photographer and often blogs about herbs and flowers. It’s a beautifully done site for today’s December Blog-A-Day.

Hedonistic Pleasure Seeker

Here’s a fun blog. Hedonistic Pleasure Seeker brings you tales of the pleasures of a life well lived: food, art, botox, lingerie, kitty prints, beautiful men, and the occasional book review.

Hedonistic Pleasure Seeker’s got a great voice, one I’ve been listening to off and on for months. She’s funny and cheeky and likely to inspire you to go buy some good shoes for yourself or someone you dream of pleasing or to put on a kitten print dress and do something you’ve never thought you’d do before. What that is, I leave to you and to Hedonistic Pleasure Seeker to explore in more depth.

A wonderful find for our first December Blog A Day.

Midtown Lunch

Midtown Lunch is a great read. It doesn’t matter if you don’t work in Manhattan. It doesn’t even matter if you never go out to eat lunch. Midtown Lunch is fun anyway.

Midtown Lunch perfectly illustrates a great formula for Best Blogging:write about things you love and things that make you laugh, and your blog will be magic.

Sugar and Spice

Arjuna's Onion ChutneySugar and Spice is an Indian cooking blog. Everything in it looks … well, nice.

What makes this a Best Blog?

  • frequent updates
  • inspiring photos
  • clear writing
  • passion for its subject

It’s a lucky day when Saturday Morning Blogroll (ok, ok, I know it’s Sunday) comes across a blog like this.

Fergis Writes Letters

Fergis Writes Letters

Fergis does indeed write letters. His blog is full of them. Problem is, nobody ever answers them. Maybe that’s because they’re often addressed to those who don’t habitually answer letters: the Canadian twenty dollar bill, Count Chocula, his recycling bin.

What makes Fergis a Best Blog? Perseverance. No one’s answered his letters but he’s kept blogging away. Wit. A vision that’s all his own (who else would think to wrap a rant into a letter)?

(You might be asking yourself, how did Saturday Morning Blogroll find Fergis? We’ll tell you one thing: it wasn’t because he wrote us a letter. But maybe someday he will. We might even answer.)
