We promised, over a week ago, to bring you a student blog (a blog that’s written by someone who identifies him or herself as a student and, at least part of the time writes about school life). Here’s what we came up with, thanks to tag surfing under the “school” tag:

Bizzoony, a student blog, is a Best Blog In Training. (It’s brand-new, the front page is not yet complete, and there’s no “about section” — that’s why it’s a Best Blog In Training.) We think it’s going to turn into something quite good. Why? Because it’s funny and fresh and the writer is not interested in telling us: (a) how much he has been partying; (b) about his latest love disaster or (c) about how much he needs to go on a diet. And if he did tell us about any of those three things, he’d be funny about it and maybe also insightful.

The writer appears to be in the tenth grade. He could work on his spelling, and on his blog’s appearance a little. But these things are minor compared to the fine head he has on his shoulders, and the unique voice he displays in the few posts you’ll see when you go over to his site.

We’re placing our bets on Bizzoony, and we’ll check back in and see how he’s doing after a few months. Our guess is that he’ll keep posting, continue to be very funny, and he’ll add some “about” information and a picture. Good luck to him.

And thanks too, dear readers, for recommending these fine student blogs: A Teenager’s Perspective and Wandering Pedestrians.)

Honestly Wandering Pedestrians fails in both the requirements for a “student blog.” We neither identify ourselves as students nor talk about school life.

Bizzoony is a great blog though. Nice choice.

I think they should be eliminated for incorrect use of apostophes. 😉

Just kidding. Looks like a good one!

Hi Kaz — Blogs in Training are allowed the occasional apostrophe misstep. Not too many though! I’m glad you liked the look of it.

And Arick — wasn’t someone over at Wandering Pedestrians having a good cry over some great work of literature just a few days ago?? I’d say that counts as student material. Best, BL

Hey guys, I don’t really have a speech prepared for this award, and I don’t know what to say other than thanks. I really have no idea how this WordPress thingy works, and when it comes to technology, a mashed potato is a better Computer Tech partner. My website was originally just a site so that all my friends could see what funny stuff I had on my mind, and then I was told by a friend to use wordpress because the place I was using the post my comedy was “A disgrace to the internet.”

You can be sure you’ll see more of me once I get this whole thing straight, and in a couple of months I’ll be the best website in the world. See you guys later.

hey! we finally identified ourselves as a “student blog!” But that’s not the point. A few of my friends recently got blogs started. So here they are: and The Great IV is done by four girls I know who are really the most interesting people I’ve met, all four are foreign. Rodioxide is a little more artsy and inspirational…
