How do you get your blog reviewed by Best Blog on WordPress anyway? I don’t see an email submission link or contact form.

    Just curious I guess

I don’t mean to tell you what to do, but in my humble opinion, I think that it’s best to stick to covering blogs from “regular” people, not from bigshot CEOS (even though she has a terrific name :)) or people like Scoble, who has enough publicity as it is.

    Toni 🙂
You are right! The aim of this blog is really to feature lesser known blogs.

Once in a while though, a lesser known blog belongs to a CEO that owns the service that the blog is on AND is interesting.

    VDOVault,
Blogs get “reviewed” by getting attention, like commenting here.

Ahhh…okay…now I get how the reviewing process works…you ought to make that a little clearer on the About page here…I looked in vain for an email address or submission form there LOL

Could you please add me to the Music Category. I haven’t seen too many Dance music blogs out there.
    Thanks.

I think this blog is important. As a novice I wondered about the 75,000 or more blogs that find their home with WordPress and puzzled about where I might find a directory.

I’d like to echo Vodovault’s comment: nowhere on your web log do you have an e-mail address or a contact method. Is that deliberate? I was able to comment here only because I stumbled onto this link.

Thanks for this useful web log.

Email address is in the FAQ.

  10. 11 stss 13 February, 2006 at 8:54 pm

Good thing. WordPress lacks a good directory where we could find blogs sorted by topic or langage… But I can’t find the “french langage” category…

By the way, my musical blog (written in french) can be found there: http://stss.wordpress.com

add: sorry, i just red the “10 post at least” rule. I’ll wait. Nevermind 😉

I started Wordcurrent just two weeks ago. It features a daily poetry entry. You may have seen my comments on some other poetry blogs. The main ideosyncracy my blog exhibits is that although my posted poems are not first drafts by any means, I am open to revising them, and so from day to day, as I indicate in my pages.

    Hi there,
    just a few words:

thanks for the work of review of the blogs hosted here on wordpress.com
i think that linux should be moved from technology to opensource category
there are some italian wordpress.com blogs too, it’s a problem to add a category? you could use italiano for the name

  16. 18 koolinus 28 February, 2006 at 7:44 pm

while i was writing to the staff i thought it should be of some use to list the blogs in the various categories with a language tag.

    something like

    [eng] blabla.wordpress.com

    [fr] ditto.wordpress.com

    and so on …

    a dumb idea ?

  17. 19 59ideas 3 March, 2006 at 1:25 am

Maybe Opensource should be under Technology? I’m not too concern with that unless there are alot of comment to that.

Currently blog not in english are tagged with a language category.

Since WordPress.com does not allow editing the template, there is no way to add a [lang] to a category listing.

    Did I understand you correctly?

  18. 20 koolinus 3 March, 2006 at 5:04 pm

i was simply referring to a manual tag into the link “description”.

for example, I’m into SUSE, so I’d search in opensource catergory, if i see a [deu] foo i would skip it, since i don’t know deutch, but if i’d find [ita] foo2 or [eng] whatever i would immediately click on it …

no words, just images. thank you.

  20. 22 macnewbie 11 April, 2006 at 1:18 am

How did you add your contact form here? I have been looking (hard) and all I have managed to come up with is this lame static table http://macnewbie.wordpress.com/contact.

I know that some plug-ins exist for regular wordpress (rather than WPMU) where you can write something like [contact_form] and it gets replaced like the thing but I can’t find any reference to them being enabled here (I guess they must be though for it to work for you!)

  21. 23 macnewbie 11 April, 2006 at 1:21 am

Btw, in case people think it is innapropriate to ask that question here when they have a perfectly good contact form. I did mail this question on the contact form a few days ago before asking here 🙂

  23. 25 Claire Millington 5 July, 2006 at 9:20 pm

Is posting on here too cheeky and spammy a way to get my blog looked at?

  24. 26 Claire Millington 5 July, 2006 at 9:22 pm

…and I second the idea of collating the Italian language blogs as I’d like to read ’em.

  27. 29 disembedded 1 September, 2006 at 10:00 am

Maybe posting this comment is a way to have my site reviewed by Best Blog on WordPress? Who knows….Anyway, this is an invite for all to visit me at Et Cetera: Publick and Privat Curiosities, an eccentric, eclectic, thoughtful and entertaining little niche in the WordPress cyberworld. Thanks !!!
