Without question, No Dependencies No Logo is one of the finest blogs on WordPress. No Dependencies No Logo is an astonishingly simple, elegant blog, a blog that demonstrates what you can do with the tools available from WordPress. Nils, its proprietor, is a very good writer. He can take a subject as seemingly ordinary as cleaning his keyboard, and raise it to new heights. You’ll find everything from meditations on good grammar to interesting discussions of good design, to movies and books on this blog. What unifies the blog is Nils’s unique point of view and his wonderful writing.
Nils is a member of the 9Rules network, and his blog exemplifies the high standards of 9Rules.
We’re proud to feature him today on our December Blog A Day.
I’ve checked “No Dependencies No Logo” and I agree with you. It’s really simple, elegant and astonishing
.
Hey, Bloglily, thanks for that extremely flattering review. I’m honoured and humbled.
I might do some post about it, but I wanted to quickly say I think what you do here is extremely valuable for all us bloggers out there. It shows that with some hard work, persistence and focus on what you love, you can get heard in the end. I guess those are some of the ‘9rules rules’ after all…
Sort of ‘never give up’ I guess…
Cheers!
Hi Nils, I think people begin blogs for a very similar reason: to be heard. The ones who keep going and growing, despite not always being heard, are the ones who find either writing itself or the things they write about so compelling they don’t really care if they get huge numbers of hits. What often happens, though, is that these committed bloggers do end up finding readers. And they find the best sorts of readers: the people who leave thoughtful comments and keep coming back to add to the dialogue that’s being created on the blog. It’s an enormous pleasure and honor to write about these fine blogs and if that helps people find an audience, then it’s just one more reason to keep hitting that “next” button and writing about Best Blogs. Cheers to you too! –BL
I’m with you! Nils has long been a favorite.
Keep creating,
Mike
